From the “Please ignore the 325MW gas turbine behind the curtain” files… a sainted group of warriors for truthiness in New Jersey (the Garden State) have come up with a proposed law which:

would make it a crime — punishable by up to 18 months in jail — to photograph, videotape or otherwise record for an extended period of time a power generation, waste treatment, public sewage, water treatment, public water, nuclear or flammable liquid storage facility, as well as any airport in the state.

One of the truthiness experts in the article - Robert Lee, regional security manager for Valero, says:

Some of it is pretty scary with some of the things that have happened, surveillance is one of the ways these terrorist units conduct their planning. These things have to be investigated.

I don’t think that he understands that a cave tunnel dwelling in Tora Bora is going to be nicer than most of the suburbs in New Jersey.

May the lord shine his goodness upon all those who had the misfortune to have a power plant actually built in their backyard… no more looking out the window!

Is it just me, or did Cereal Killer have something with “1984? Yeah right, man. That’s a typo. Orwell is here now. He’s livin’ large.”?
