Not My Fault
From the “get a helmet” section, after having lived in the US for several years I was quite caught off guard by the war cry of the American worker. “That’s not my job” was a phrase that I encountered time and again. The shift to a position of convenience these days is illustrated in graphic detail by the pattern of avoiding ANY responsibility. We have dingle berries getting their dingle berries caught on toilet seats in fast food restaurants. We have warning labels on sunshades for your car. The label on mine says “Do not drive with sun shade in place”. I laughed but, then I realized that was probably a result of some dumbass doing so and then filing a lawsuit. What has happened to bring us to this point? When families sue musicians for implanting messages from the devil are they not just feeling guilty for poor parenting? Now a family is suing an Internet cafe in Beijing after their 13 year old killed himself. Why you ask? Well the 13 year old played Warcraft online for 36 hours straight and then went home and took a swan dive off the 24th floor. “The parents said that China Cyber Port clearly knew that the “violent” and “bloody” content of Warcraft was unsuitable for minors.” OK, so lets recap. The cafe is “responsible” because a 13 year old played a video game for 36 hours straight. Hmm, then let me ask you this. Did the parents of the 13 year old boy not notice that their son had not been home in two days??? Guess it wasn’t their fault. I call bullsh!t on them.
