From the “It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy” files… According to a posting on Truth Out, it appears that Karl Rove was indicted on friday.
From the article:

Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald spent more than half a day Friday at the offices of Patton Boggs, the law firm representing Karl Rove.

During the course of that meeting, Fitzgerald served attorneys for former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove with an indictment charging the embattled White House official with perjury and lying to investigators related to his role in the CIA leak case, and instructed one of the attorneys to tell Rove that he has 24 business hours to get his affairs in order, high level sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said Saturday morning.

Robert Luskin, Rove’s attorney, did not return a call for comment. Sources said Fitzgerald was in Washington, DC, Friday and met with Luskin for about 15 hours to go over the charges against Rove, which include perjury and lying to investigators about how and when Rove discovered that Valerie Plame Wilson was a covert CIA operative and whether he shared thatinformation with reporters, sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said.

Yahoo is running an opinion piece that hopes it’s true. And of course points out some of the other issues facing the Executive Branch…

1) The major phone companies and the NSA are tracking millions of American’s phone records.
2)The whistle blower who provided the news of the NSA phone record project is reporting that it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
3)MyWay is reporting that something called the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has been watching us from space.
4)The president’s approval rating dipped to 29 percent (Harris).
5)General Hayden’s nomination to take over the CIA is receiving a chilly reception at best.

As the esteemed Joshua Ellis over at Zenarchery.com put so brilliantly…

    Ha.

    Ha ha ha.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

    Sorry.

No, wait, I just had this vision of Rove dropping the soap.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

    Heh heh.

    Heh.

    Ooooh, shit. That was funny.

    Heh.

And hell, even if it’s not true, it feels just as good to think about as watching Mr. Baldy get the rope on Wednesday night.
